Business Plan Writers In Columbia Sc A new DC Streetcar system is being constructed on H Street and in other parts of the District. It’s been nearly 50 years since streetcars last operated in the District. New red-and-white streetcars have been purchased and are scheduled to go into service along H Street — the first phase of the system — in late 2013.
H Street is already a livable, walkable neighborhood but streetcars will add to the neighborhood’s transportation options, including a comprehensive Metrobus and Metrorail system, car-sharing services with designated street parking spaces in the H Street area and many other neighborhoods, improved management of scarce street parking spaces, and an ever-growing array of bicycle lanes, bike racks, and Capital Bikeshare stations.
